Skin planning is assessment before recommendation. A registered nurse spends ninety minutes with your skin — $150 — works out what it’s doing and why, and writes a plan you keep: what suits it, in what order, over what period. Treatment, if there is any, comes after the plan.
What is a skin plan?
A skin plan is a written document prepared by a registered nurse after a ninety-minute assessment of your skin. It sets out what suits your skin, in what order, over what period — treatments, skincare and timing. It’s included in the $150 consultation, and it’s yours to keep.
It is not a quote. A quote prices what a clinic would like to sell you. A plan records what an assessment found and what follows from it — including the parts that cost nothing, and the parts that say wait.
And it works anywhere. The plan is written to be useful at Glow, at another clinic, or at home on its own.
Why does assessment come before recommendation?
Because a recommendation without an assessment is a sale. Skin varies — with season, environment, timing and what it’s already been asked to tolerate. A recommendation is only worth following when it comes from a documented read of what your skin is doing, not from a treatment menu.
Most of the industry runs in the other order: fifteen or twenty minutes, then a recommendation that existed before you walked in. We run the appointment the other way. Ninety minutes of assessment first — and whatever gets recommended has to earn its place in your plan.
How does skin planning work?
Three steps, and the first one does most of the work. There is no fourth step chasing you afterwards — the plan is finished when you’re holding it.

Delivered when timing supports it, reviewed as your skin changes. Sometimes the review says nothing needs to change — that’s the plan working.
What does the plan contain?
The plan sets out, in writing:
- What your skin is doing now, as assessed on the day.
- What suits it — skincare and treatments matched to that assessment, not to a menu.
- Order and timing — what comes first, what waits, and why.
- What to leave alone.
It reads as a map, not a mandate. Nothing in it obliges you to book anything — here or anywhere.

The consultation is $150 and runs for ninety minutes. That price includes the assessment and the written skin plan — there is nothing to add on. The fee is not credited against later treatment, because the assessment and the plan are the product, not a pathway to one.

What won’t we do?

- We won’t promise an outcome. Skin responds over time — you’ll hear what we expect to see, and what we don’t know.
- We won’t always say yes. Sometimes the honest answer is wait, or not this, or not yet — and you’ll get the reason.
- We won’t discount you into a chair. No packages, no offers. The price is the same whenever you’re ready.

How much does a skin consultation cost at Glow?
A first skin consultation at Glow Cosmetique is $150 and runs for 90 minutes. It includes a full skin assessment and a written skin plan you keep, whether or not you book any treatment afterwards. The fee is not credited against treatment.
Do I have to book treatment after the consultation?
No. The consultation is priced as a complete appointment: $150 for 90 minutes, ending with a written skin plan. Leaving with the plan and booking nothing is a normal outcome. The plan is written to stand on its own — at home, at Glow, or at any other clinic.
Can I take my skin plan to another clinic?
Yes. The plan belongs to the client, not the clinic. It records what a registered nurse found on assessment and what suits that skin, in plain terms, so it reads the same anywhere. Plans from other clinics travel in the other direction just as well.
